The Chemistry of Exotic Materials, Part 4 - Buckminsterfullerene

The Buckminsterfullerene is a recently discovered allotrope of carbon.  Its formula is C60, and it has a geometric structure identical to that on the surface of a soccer ball!  Branded with the nickname, Bucky Ball, the substance has unusual properties making it a prime candidate for a myriad of potentially beneficial applications!
